Final week in the MTC

Check out my new haircut! I feel like i'm in the army cuz i got my buzzcut and my platoon of elders. This is like spiritual boot camp. And its awesome. On the the third guy in the picture is my district leader Elder Garrett. one of the coolest guys i've ever met. We are mutual friends through our friend Hermana Hafen. ( i know her from efy and he was best friends with her at BYU) she is at the Argentina MTC and leaves the day before we get there.
This is my final week in the MTC. within 5 days i will have begun teaching people in Argentina. I can not even fathom what this is going to be like. And if I have learned one thing from this adventure in the CCM (MTC in spanish) It is this:
That we are Children of Our Loving Heavenly Father. And He will help us with everything we need to be happy. I have come to a realization of what happiness truly is.
It isn't not having sadness, or not feeling pain,
Its knowing we all can be together again.

And without further ado. i have another poem. i promise i do not spend all my time hearing contemplating poetry :P It just so happens that the past two weeks i have learned a principle i can only seem to express through artfully put words. Without further ado, I present:

The darkest cloud is clearing
my hands must still hold tight
For i know that i am nearing
that marv'lous 'ternal light

i see the light
i see the tree
i know it's right
It's right for me

The clouds return with angry rage
as if to make a darkened cage.
My eyes grow dim
My world grows small

The only thing my eyes can see
is my loving brother in front of me
His eyes grow dim as does his heart
and soon, rod and hand are far apart.

The gnashing teeth, the wailing cries
bring teardrops, teardrops to my eyes.
I wish to reach, to pull them in
But dare not let go, for fear of sin

For this dear rod is my only strength
I pull and heave along its length
hoping, praying for a simple door
to open to the prize in store.

I look around and see the souls
of friends and family in blackened holes,
whose hearts are empty and eyes are closed
whose necks grow stiff and minds have dozed.

Only now do I behold
a man in white with a heart of gold
who tends to my sweet brother dear
and whispers softly to his ear.

The still small voice lifts up his hand
and guides my brother 'cross the land
until he stands right next to me
and in his mirror-eyes I see

A burning fire that from the rod
spreads through my soul and out abroad
as rays of fire encompass all
i realize my time to call:

I KNOW THIS LIGHT, I KNOW THIS TREE
I KNOW MY SAVIOR LIVES FOR ME
FOR CHRIST DIED TO MAKE MEN HOLY
I WILL LIVE TO MAKE MEN FREE

I love you all! Have a wonderful week. And please send updates and pics of all ya'lls adventures.
Listen to the Spirit and remembers God's love for you!
Elder Siebers
